Estimate Quantities

Use the following guide to help estimate how much wallcovering you'll need for your space.

Step One:

Calculate Square Footage

To get your square footage, multiply height by length of each surface needing wallcovering.

In our example, our room is 12ft long and 16ft wide and the walls are 8ft tall.

  • 12x8 = 96 sq ft
  • 12x8 = 96 sq ft
  • 16x8 = 128 sq ft
  • 16x8 = 128 sq ft

Total = 448 sq ft (for our example)

Step Two:

Convert Square Footage to Yards or Single Rolls

If you are using 54" wide material, divide by 12 and round up:

  • 448 divided by 12 = 38 yards

If you are using 36" wide material, divide by 7 and round up:

  • 448 divided by 7 = 64 yards

If you are using 39" wide material, divide by 8 and round up:

  • 448 divided by 8 = 56 yards

If you are using 27" wide material (packaged in double rolls), divide by 25 and round up:

  • 448 divided by 25 = 18 Single Rolls

If you are using 20.5" wide material (packaged in double rolls), divide by 20 and round up:

  • 448 divided by 20 = 24 Single Rolls
